Construction equipments are one of the most important part of the construction of any structure be it building, hotel, hospital, barn, tower, bridges, roads or even castles. The building you sit in would not have been possible without the availability of the construction equipments. Equipments are of different sizes and types and each serve a specific function or purpose. While some may be equipped with very high and advanced technology, others may have no technology at all.  Many a time equipment is often multipurpose and serves many functions together.

Types – Among the various construction equipments trenchers, tractors, diggers, earth movers, loaders, pickup trucks, material handlers, grinders, drillers, transporters, mixers, cranes are very commonly found in any of the working construction sites. These are mostly technology operated and customised as per the manufacturer’s requirements. Some are too big in size but technology enables the user to operate and manoeuvre it perfectly as needed.

Other tools – while the above mentioned were bigger and common tools found in construction sites. New laser technology oriented tools, hydraulic tools, and advanced pneumatic tools are also gaining importance as it gives more effective productivity in less time. Among the smaller tools, laser cutters, hydraulic drillers, pneumatic punching machines are common. Apart from these there will still be tools which are traditional and needs no technological support such as hammers, shovels, chisels, etc.

Affordability – The cost of the technology based construction equipments are very high even for the manufacturing companies. While the bigger manufacturing companies can afford them and get it custom made, the smaller especially growing companies cannot afford them. Hence rather than purchasing these equipments, they tend to lease it for long terms making the process affordable and convenient.
